First post!

This is the first post on my new blog, Sheep Will be Sheared. Here I hope to issue reports on just a few of the many interesting ways that sheep are being sheared in the United States. Most sheep will not be interested in this material (they are sheep, after all). The only ones for whom this might be interesting are those who are not sheep, or those sheep who don't want to be sheep anymore. After all, who really wants to be sheared? I want to help recovering sheep get sheared less, and thus feel less sheepish. Some day I intend to tell the story of how I discovered this fundamental law of nature (I call it Richards' Law): Sheep Will be Sheared.
